Dear Residents of Placer County,
As a candidate for the Placer County District 3 Supervisor position, I would like to tell you a little about myself. I have been a proud Placer County resident for the past 26 years. I am currently on the Placer County Planning Commission representing District 3. I, and my family, currently own and operate a mandarin ranch in Penryn. We raise Mandarins and other produce while also selling value added products at our ranch. We have been running our mandarin ranch since 2017 but my family has been farming in California for over 100 years. As a longtime business owner, I understand the importance of a balanced budget and following through on commitments. I know the rewards and challenges of signing both sides of a check.
I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness/Agricultural Business Operations. This and my hands on farming experience has helped me guide our business through catastrophic floods in 1997 and the recent economic blows. Being stable while these events were occurring allowed me to help others in our area. During the pandemic and wildfires, I was proud to be able to deliver fresh fruit and produce to businesses and organizations who were helping people affected by the crisis. Being able to provide healthy food for people is one of the most gratifying feelings I have.
I have a deep commitment and passion for public service. I believe we are called to serve our community in many different ways. I would like to serve as District 3 Supervisor to ensure Placer County continues to be a great place to live and raise our children.
I am not a career politician but in the 2024 election year, I am seeking your support as I run for Placer County Board of Supervisors, District 3. I am a businessman and farmer who would be honored to serve the residents of Placer County. I feel a great connection between the rural community and the city I live in, I would like to promote more cooperation between the two. The roots in this area are strong and it is my intention, through positive representation, to unite residents, business, the agriculture community, investors and government towards a stronger, more successful Placer County.
